(Oslo, 12 December 2000) Mamut, a leading provider of e-commerce solutions for the SME market, is choosing WorldPay as a partner for the handling of secure online payments for its e-commerce solutions.
Mamut will launch a new e-commerce solution where WorldPay’s services are integrated. All existing Mamut users will also receive a free update allowing them to use WorldPay’s technology on their web site.
Multi-currency transactions
WorldPay’s payment solutions enable all Mamut e-commerce users to accept payments from debit or credit cards in over 130 currencies, while still receiving settlement in the desired currency chosen from 22 core currencies, for example USD. The amount is debited/credited directly to the customer’s account and WorldPay is responsible for the transaction when information about credit card numbers and personal details is sent from the customer to WorldPay’s server. Through the agreement Mamut becomes one of WorldPay’s international partners in the company’s ‘Affiliate Partner Program’.

Mamut enables the customer to develop a professional e-commerce solution without any prior knowledge of the Internet or HTML programming. The user has more than 80 design options to choose from, and can easily add product information, prices, shipping, VAT and more on the web site. Customers will also be able to track their order status on a web page. Through WorldPay’s payment solution users can now also handle transactions in a number of currencies.
