User-friendliness and simplicity is at the core of Mamut’s e-commerce solutions built on Windows. The solutions do not require any particular knowledge of the Internet or HTML programming, and make it possible for small and mid-sized businesses to easily build a professional website and e-commerce solution themselves.
The users of Mamut’s e-commerce solutions gain access to all the functionality required to get started – they get software, space on a web server and the opportunity to insert products in their web shop.
Recognition
Users establish the web shop themselves; assisted by a wizard that leads them through the entire installation process. The user only has to click to get further. The payment conditions is the only thing the user has to define himself – everything else is found in the predefined templates.
“We have put emphasis on creating a visual environment where the users will recognize elements from Windows 95/98/Me or NT/2000, because most people use these daily,” Hanoa explains.
Realizing the vision
At the foundation of the e-commerce solutions from Mamut lies two Windows 2000 Advanced Servers as hosts for all users. The servers have been set up with “fail over clustering”, which enables ongoing, available operations (if one server goes down, the other one takes over). For Mamut, it was a matter of course to develop all their products on Microsoft’s platform.

The best in the Nordic countries
Mamut has received the Norwegian Computer Society’s ROSING award for most user-friendly product, and has also been named ‘the best Nordic e-commerce solution’ in the Microsoft Certified Solution Provider Challenge.
